Simon is the principal geoscientist and Managing Director of Molyneux Advisors. Amalgamating over 23 years of experience acquired during his time at Santos, Talisman Energy and Shell, Simon takes pride in being at the forefront of the oil and gas industry, where he delivers maximum value to his clients and their resources.

A visionary leader who sets the trajectory of Molyneux Advisors, Simon is known for always remaining two steps ahead of the curve. As a multi-faceted business owner, he knows that his clients do not necessarily have the upstream capability that Molyneux Advisors provide, as a result his company has grown to be the vanguard within the sector.

Having walked the road of his clients, Simon is the first to understand the immense pressure they face daily. What sets him apart is his ability to identify fundamental issues within each company and provide advice rather than merely ‘consulting’.

Hongfeng is the Principal Reservoir Engineer and Director of Molyneux Advisors. He comes with over 24 years of experience, where he has consistently applied his unique process and passion for achieving elevated results in global companies like Shell, BP and CNOOC.

He was Shell’s lead Reservoir Engineer for Prelude and Auriga in the Browse basin, Australia and the Champion and Champion West fields in Brunei. Known for offering a balanced view that blends technical advisors based on detailed analysis of data and his unique breadth of experience, Hongfeng’s career has overseen the entire project lifecycle that encompasses exploration through to development.

Applying an integrated approach to solve problems, Hongfeng is a customer-focused and client-driven professional who endeavours to always look at a situation from every angle before offering advice. From his experience in geology, petroleum engineering and economics, Hongfeng is a trusted expert in the oil and gas sector. As a leader and advocate for growth and change, Hongfeng is at the forefront of advancements within the industry, a footing he extends to his clients.

As a co-founder of Molyneux Advisors, Hongfeng is skilled in finding the right people and organising a team with the utmost due diligence and methodical consideration. Furthermore, he good at discovering efficient and quick solutions that arise from complicated business environments.

William is a highly experienced oil and gas professional specialising in asset maturation, development, resource assessment, assurance and reporting. He draws on over 35 years of experience in delivering diverse projects. Having spent nearly three decades developing his expertise, William’s career has seen him in consulting and project leadership roles within the Shell Group and an additional 7 years within BP.

Known for his distinctive approach in leading multiple teams, William has a strong track record in developing and executing plans within complex organisational structures. He does this by identifying key goals to achieve the maximum potential of a client’s asset and advising on implications of future development.

With global exposure in locations such as in Europe (UK, Netherlands), the Americas (Canada, USA, Brazil, Argentina), Middle East (Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Syria), North and Sub-Saharan Africa (Algeria, Libya, Nigeria) and Asia-Pacific (Australia, New Zealand, Russia, China, Brunei, Indonesia), particularly in resource assurance, William understands the intricacies of managing an asset from a compliance perspective in recognising its current and future value.

William has led gas exploration, appraisal and development projects covering drilling operations, reservoir stimulation, well testing and maturation activities in new and established areas. He offers a wide range of technical expertise, an analytical approach paired with successful project leadership on various oil and gas projects on an international scale.

Currently, William serves as an Associate Consultant and Principal Resources/Resource Advisor at Molyneux Advisors, where he amalgamates his cross-section of experience in bringing positive outcomes for clients, focused on reserves assurance and resource assessment (including sustainable reservoir storage solutions) and hydrocarbon maturation.

Alex is a hands-on Senior Upstream Manager and leader with expertise in petroleum engineering, joint venture management and asset integrity performance. Through strategic foresight, drive, and being a recognised facilitator for transformational organisational change, Alex’s career has seen him work for nearly 30 years in various top-tier roles within the global Shell Group. In his last role as Development Manager Malaysia/Philippines, he has led over 100 professionals, spread across four locations, delivering integrated technical assurance and project reviews at key delivery milestones.

As a leader, innovator and advocate for meaningful change, Alex is at the forefront, regardless of any situation. He has applied his key management and leadership skills in various global environments and has navigated complex and challenging issues into the best possible outcomes. Recognised for his ability to find the weak spots within an organisation, Alex has an excellent overview of technical understanding paired with solid business development skills in executing a plethora of client projects.

Alex’s innate ability to build high-performance teams, including his strategically selected technical management staff in his previous role, has served as a growth catalyst and infused productivity into the workplace.

Alex is currently an Associate Consultant for Molyneux Advisors, where his passion for global energy transition and his drive to see new alliances thrive provide immense growth value for his clients.

Chief Geoscientist and Resources Consultant, David comes with nearly 40 years of top-tier experience within the oil and gas sector, having worked for most of his career in a cross-section of subsurface technical and leadership roles within the Shell Group.

A highly experienced geologist, David has spent years delivering projects covering a wide range of assets, recovery mechanisms and reservoir types. Having gained a thorough mastery in all aspects of production geoscience, David also brings a highly analytical and pragmatic approach to field development and resource estimation.

Thriving best when faced with an intellectual challenge, David marries together technical insight with sound judgement of risk and uncertainty, giving him an unchallenged professional edge when delivering solutions to complex challenges.

In his previous role, David was responsible for the technical assurance of the resource estimates on which investment proposals and annual oil and gas resource reports were based, including proved reserves submissions to the SEC. He was also heavily involved in creating and delivering resource guidance and training to a wide range of staff, ranging from subsurface technical professionals to finance.

Currently, David serves as an Associate Consultant and Chief Production Geoscientist at Molyneux Advisors, where he applies his breadth of experience in managing a range of oil and gas projects.

Belinda is a natural born connector, helping develop innovative projects, businesses and social enterprises. Within the energy transition, principally involved in carbon reduction in industrial & transport sectors.

Belinda is particularly passionate about contributing to major projects, developing new business models for cost effective and large-scale CO2 emission reduction from manufacturing processes such as hydrogen production. As a project leader and a reservoir engineer by background, she has been involved in developing permanent CO2 storage and circular economy business models and projects at industrial scale for 10 years, including early project lead for clean electricity generation from gas with CCS (Peterhead CCS, UK). Most recently she has concentrated on commercial aspects of clean hydrogen: Blue (CCS Advisory Group, TVCA, Net Zero Teesside, UK), Green (SW England LEPs) and now the innovative Sky Blue (global) hydrogen projects.

Previous experience: oil & gas reservoir & economic modelling (Asia, Africa, Europe), VP financing for oil & gas start-ups (global), M&A oil & gas asset swaps (Asia, US and Africa).

A proven exploration and new ventures strategist, having worked on global oil and gas projects, Julian is a top-tier geophysicist. He has applied his niche expertise in managerial and operational roles throughout his decorated career spanning three decades.

With diversified worldwide exposure, Julian has worked in Australia, Angola, USA, France and the United Kingdom. His work has principally been in conventional offshore exploration and appraisal but has also undertaken onshore projects in North Africa and Australia.

Generating quality interpretations of the subsurface using the diverse geophysical and geological data sets available; Julian has participated in the entire exploration cycle, from acreage capture through to field appraisal with extensive knowledge of the geophysical aspects, including data acquisition, processing and in particular, interpretation.

Julian is recognised for his excellent interpersonal skills as he relates and communicates with people at all levels, inside and outside an organisation. He supplies turnkey solutions to oil and gas companies to help carry out specific tasks within a geologic and geophysics’ space.

Currently, Julian serves as an Associate at Molyneux Advisors, where he helps clients rapidly develop their understanding of basins through to discoveries that need an appraisal. Driven to achieve the best possible outcomes for a client’s acreage, Julian helps show them the best steps forward based on sound technical knowledge.

Martin is a practicing Geoscientist, Petrophysicist and well data expert with over 30 years of international oilfield experience with Schlumberger, Shell, and National and International Oil Companies.  He has been an independent petrophysical consultant and trainer based in Perth, Western Australia for the past two decades.  His areas of expertise include petrophysics, operations, integrated team work and the acquisition, exploitation management of well data, in all sorts of environments and at all stages of the life cycle of assets.  In Australia, he has worked extensively on the Browse, Carnarvon and Perth Basins in senior technical roles.

He is a keen team player, passionate about producing clear and rigorous work, with a focus on practicality and value.  He is generous with his knowledge and is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts (SPWLA), and the Professional Petroleum Data Management Association (PPDM).  He served on the Committee of the Australian SPWLA Chapter from 2004 to 2019, and co-founded in 2017 the first Leadership Team of the PPDM outside North America, which he chaired in its first three years.

Martin earned a BSc in Mathematical and Computer Science from Stanford University and an MSc in. Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology.

Nick Bahrami is a Senior Reservoir/Production Engineer with over 20 years’ experience in the upstream oil and gas industry. He possesses a robust technical background and advanced skillset in dynamic data analysis and reservoir simulation.

Throughout his career, Nick has combined his technical expertise and extensive software knowledge to effectively conduct reservoir characterisation, reservoir simulations and history matching, build well models, perform well test and formation test analyses, evaluate well integrity and forecast well production.

Nick holds a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from Curtin University, a Master of Science in Reservoir Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Persian Gulf University.

Alex Fuerst is a dynamic geoscientist with a diverse background in geology, geophysics, geochemistry, and petrophysics.

With over 10 years of geological experience, Alex has established a reputation for his well-rounded exploration skillset and advanced seismic interpretation skills, effectively identifying new, technically robust prospectivity in heavily-explored acreage, and generating multiple commercial stratigraphic prospects.

Throughout his career, Alex has applied his cross-discipline approach to prospect identification and maturation, applying his solid understanding of different techniques to reduce risk and uncertainty.

In his recent role as Senior Geologist at Chemostrat Australia, Alex led the Australian technical team, overseeing the timely execution of projects while upholding strict regulatory standards and maintaining high standards of data quality, sample preparation and technical interpretation. In his previous role as Exploration Geologist at Woodside Energy, Alex was instrumental in identifying and converting dozens of new leads into prospects, notably contributing to the successful drilling of the Ferrand-1 Exploration well.

Alex has a Masters in Petroleum Geoscience and a Bachelor of Geology from the Victoria University of Wellington.
